The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), St. Inigoes, MD has a requirement for AN/PSC-5 Radio Sets (3 each) which consist of RT-1672/U Transceivers, P/N: 724779-801 (3 each); Battery Box Assemblies, P/N: 724428-801 (3 each); Power Cables, P/N: 422771-801 (3 each). The Government intends to place a task order with Raytheon Systems Company, 1010 Production Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46808-4106 under BOA with the minimum requirement to obtain transceiver systems which can be used as emergency SATCOM radios in the case of communication system failure aboard the CVN-75 Carrier. The AN/PSC-5 Radio Sets are the only UHF DAMA manpack radios approved by the Chief of Naval Operations. (0163)
