This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 98-Q-52 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. This action is a 100% small business set-aside. The SIC code is 3651 Electronic Equipment and Components, and the small business size standard is 750. The U.S. Secret Service has a requirement for one (1) High Speed Video System with optional 4000/8000 frames per second and extended record capability. The Video System must include the following items: (1) MEMORY, 8.2 seconds/16, 384 frames memory; (2) 6mm F1.2 COSIMCAR LENS; (3) 12.5mm- 75mm FUJINON ZOOM LENS; (4) VIDEO CABLE, 15 foot length with three 9 inch BNC pigtail connectors; 5) VIDEO CABLE, 50 foot length with three 9 inch BNC pigtail connectors; (6) BNC to RCA ADAPTER; (7) ten foot length TRIGGER SWITCH with cable assembly with BNC connectors; (8) BOGEN TRIPOD with #3021S stand, #3030 head, #2915 clamp, and #2929 variable friction arm; (9) LOWELL LIGHT KIT with Pro light #P1-10 with 250w bulb, #IP-20 barndoor and #3373 Bogen lightstand; (10) CARRYING CASE (ATA rated) for High Speed Video System and accessories. The Contractor shall deliver the complete quantity; FOB Destination, US Secret Service, Forensic Services Division, Attn: Gene Fox, Room 929, 2701 South Capital Street, SW, Building 410. Washington, DC 20373. Delivery within two weeks of receipt of award. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract, to the offeror whose quotation conforming to the specification will be the most price advantageous to the Government. All responsible small business sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which will be considered by the USSS. Please note price quotes by fax transmission will not be accepted. All responsible offerors shall mail quotes to the U.S. Secret Service, Procurement Division, 1310L Street, Suite 730, Washington, DC 20223, Attn: Kathleen Wilson; no later than the 12:00 P.M. (noon) Monday, June 29, 1998. All proposals should include documentation showing how their product meets the technical requirements.
