This announcement is for planning purposes and does not constitute an IFB or RFP or commitment by the Government. Potential sources are being sought for the RT859A/APX-72 Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Receiver-Transmitter. Complete interchangeability with the existing RT859A/APX-72 hardware and test equipment is required. 2. Companies which would like to be included on a source list for this potential procurement should respond within thirty (30) days to: Naval Inventory Control Point, ATTN: A.Crankshaw, Code 0235.08, 700 Robbins Ave., Phila., PA 19111-5098, or fax (215)697-0189. Respondents must submit evidence that the minimum requirements can be met; therefore, responses must contain, at a minimum, the following information: a. Listing of relevant past experience with actual manufacturing RT859A/APX-72 IFF equipment; b. Evidence of a thorough technical understanding of manufacturing RT859A/APX-72 IFF equipment; c. Extensive test experience with manufacturing RT859A/APX072 IFF equipment; d. Certification that respondent is an actual manufacturer of the equipment; e. Certification that the equipment meets MIL-R-81435A specifications; f. Certification that the equipment meets AIMS 94-1000 specifications. 3. Within 90 days of this announcement, respondents who demonstrate the ability to meet the minimum requirements, will be requested to provide a hardware sample of an RT859A/APX-72 IFF Receiver-Transmitter, along with test reports compliant with AIMS 94-1000, for testing and evaluation purposes. 4.
