The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) has a requirement for an effort to develop, engineer, manufacture, and field a validated, economic debris mitigation system(s) for soft x-ray testing. The contract will include the option to provide engineering, coordination and support to future tests. Innovative techniques are sought for technology to maintain clean larger area exposures. The goal is to maximize x-ray fluence on target (i.e., as close as possible to the source), and simultaneously increase the exposure area to a practical maximum at which the uniformity on a planar test object falls below 90 per cent of peak (i.e., an area with roughly 10 cm radius at 30 cm from the source).
