372-9049. Bechtel Hanford, Inc. is leading the Canyon Disposition
Initiative (CDI) at the U.S. Department of Energy Hanford Site near
Richland, Washington. The 221-U Facility (canyon) will be characterized
during fiscal year 1999. There is an immediate requirement to identify
technologies to accomplish the canyon characterization. Information on
potential technologies must be received no later than close of business
on July 17, 1998. The Characterization Technology Needs Package for the
CDI can be found on the Richland Environmental Restoration Internet web
page at www.bhi-er.com/canyon/canyon.htm. This package has been
developed to communicate the techology needs for the canyon
characterization and provides the basis by which technology will be
