The Federal Bureau of Prisons seeks to obtain accreditation and subsequent reaccreditation for its' institutions by the American Correctional Association in conjunction with the Commission on Accreditation for Corrections. The initial accreditation process includes conducting audits at specified facilities to determine compliance with the applicable standards as published by the Commission on Accreditation for Corrections, and agreed to by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Services will be required throughout the Bureau of Prisons for one base year and four one year option years.
