The solicitation packages will be available on July 15, 1998 with an anticipated bid opening on or about August 7, 1998. The successful bidder will be responsible for Orthopedic services being professional in nature, as provided in the method as considered normal in the local community. They will exam, evaluate and diagnose orthopedic problems in the Medical Department. He/She will install casts, order diagnostic x-rays, etc. The successful contractor must be a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with current license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania. Services are requested for a eight hour day once a month. The contract period is for one year with two one year options to extend the term of the contract. Additionally, the successful bidder will be required to pass a background investigation. This acquisition is a 100% set-aside for small business concerns.
