The Small Business Administration proposes to negotiate a sole source contract with Cognetics, Inc., Cambridge, MA, to conduct three studies: 1. Analysis of job creation for the nation and states by major industry during the period 1993-1997. Contractor will employ its existing logitudinal file of approximately 14 million companies in the U.S. 2. Analysis of rapidly growing companies called "Gazelles", including their industry and geographic location. 3. Analysis of the growth of Hispanic-owned firms in both inner cities, suburban and rural areas by industry. Completion of the studies is anticipated to be approximately 12/31/98.
