This announcement is issued in order to locate potential sources capable of providing a Humanitarian Demining Dog Program. The Contractor should have experience in establishing, supporting and training indigenous personnel in handling explosive/mine detection sniffing dogs that support demining operations in third world countries. The Contractor should have experience in training dogs and dog handling personnel in humanitarian demining techniques. The Contractor should have experience in supplying qualified free running dogs to support demining programs and be able to demonstrate at least three (3) years experience in successfully maintaining and supporting a demining program using free running dogs. The Contractor should have experience in transferring dogs and equipment to indigenous countries and provide quality control personnel to periodically check on dog programs to ensure compliance with safety standards and treatment of dogs. The Contractor may be required tolease facilities and vehicles, and purchase equipment, supplies, material, and services to support the demining effort. The Contractor should have experience in international procurement and shipment of demining related supplies and equipment. (0163)
