Offerors must also have experience in development training. This Program supports the Government of Nicaragua (GON) and USAID's shared objectives of increased access to quality education and greater student achievement. The Program activities will increase the effectiveness of teachers by expanding the National Training Network; training teachers, directors and supervisors; and strengthening and expanding model schools. Program activities will improve efficiency through strenthening the Ministry of Education in support of decentralized primary education. The Mission anticipates awarding a Cost-plus-Award Fee contract for the purpose of working in the Basic Education and Training Program in Nicaragua. The period of performance of this Contract will be for approximately four and one half years. RFP NO. 98-12 for this requirement will be available on or about July 8, 1998.
