The work includes furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, permits, and services necessary for and incidental to an 11,000 SF expansion of workroom space and support areas, as well as expansion and renovation of the retail lobby and box area, per Postal Service approved plans and specifications. The work will include but not be limited to parking, fencing, resurfacing existing paved areas, extending lookout gallery, and installing a camera system. Contractors must have all required state and local licenses for this type of work in the above-stated area. The Mid-Atlantic Facilities Service Office has a goal of 10% for minority subcontracting and encourages subcontracting opportunities for minority and woman-owned businesses. Offeror must provide, at time proposal is due, documentation from bonding agent stating offeror's bonding capability. Performance bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price and payment bonds in the amount of 40% of the contract price will be required from the successfulofferor within forty-eight (48) hours after notification of award. Corporate sureties must appear on the list in Treasury Circular 570. The estimated cost of the project is between $800,000 and $1,600,000 with construction completion within 180 calendar days after Notice to Proceed.
