The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM)intends to procure approximately 32 engine monitoring units (EMU) or other quantity as provided for by Congress for the AV-8B aircraft for the United States Marine Corps. NAVAIRSYSCOM intends to procure these items thru a Letter of Agreement with the United Kingdom Ministry of Defense who will negotiate with GEC Marconi Avionics, the sole manufacturer of the EMU and the only firm with the requisite knowledge and expertise to perform the effort.
