Young, Purchasing Agent, phone 573/341-7470; fax 573/341-7475 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solictation will not be issued. Solicitation No. FS-WOC-98-51 is being issued by the USDA Forest Service as a Request for Quotations. This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-04. Indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contracts will be awarded based on responses to this solicitation. The solicitation consists of 5 separate items and offerors may submit offers on one or more items. This solicitation is 100% set aside for small business concerns; SIC 5032. A firm is considered small if it has less than 100 employees. This project is to furnish, haul and truck spread crushed and/or screened aggregate on designated roads throughout the following districts. All crushed aggregate furnished shall meet Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, Section 1007, Aggregate for Base, Subsection 1007.1 -- Type 1 Aggregate. All screened aggregate furnished shall be type base 2" cleaned with 100% passing a 2" sieve and 2% passing a 1" sieve. Item 1 -- Salem Ranger District, Est. Qty. 3445 tons crushed aggregate and 210 tons screened aggregate. Minimum quantity -- 1000 tons total; maximum quantity- 5000 tons total. Item 2 -- Houston/Rolla Ranger District, Est. Qty. 1740 tons crushed aggregate and 345 tons screened aggregate. Minimum quantity -- 500 tons total; maximum quantity -- 3000 tons total. Item 3 -- Potosi Ranger District, Est. Qty. 1440 tons crushed aggregate and 1280 tons screened aggrregate. Minimum quantity -- 500 tons total; maximum quantity -- 3500 tons total. Item 4 -- Fredericktown District, Est. Qty. 1335 tons crushed aggregate and 285 tons screened aggregate. Minimum quantity -- 500 tons total; maximum quantity -- 2000 tons total. Item 5 -- Cedar Creek District, Est. Qty. 390 tons crushed aggregate. Minimum quantity -- 100 tons; maximum quantity -- 600 tons. Quotes should be submitted on a per ton basis for both the crushed and screened aggregate for each District. Contract time will be from date of award through 12/30/98 and delivery orders will be issued as needed. A delivery time will be established for each delivery order issued. The time will be figured at a rate of 1 day per 50 tons ordered based on a five day week. The provisions at: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offeror -- Commercial Items; 52.212-4 -- Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items; and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes for Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition. A completed copy of the provison at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items shall be included with the quote.
