This solicitation is to provide Reliability Testing in accordance with a Statement of Work and Special Standards. The bidder must have successfully designed and produced gyro systems with the complexity of the AN/ASN-43 and the AN/ASN-1314 within last five years. The equipment to be evaluated is CN-998, NSN: 6615-00-167-9757; CN-1314, NSN: 6615-00-453-5670.The bidder must have extensive knowledge and a recent design history within three years of instrument bearing assemblies and the associate lubricants for high speed motors up to 24,000 RPMS. The bidder must demonstrate that the choice of their bearing assembly will increase the MTBF of a particular gyro system from an established MTBF of 1,000 hours to a value of 5,000 hours or higher.
