This functional guide and training course shall outline and describe the necessary steps and processes, in chronological order, to reduce 1) the occurrence of unwanted and structural fires, 2) the loss of natural resources, 3) the loss to public and private property, and 4) the risk of life to public individuals and firefighting personnel. The content of the guide shall effectively describe how these steps and processes are best accomlished by fire prevention and other agency personnel through the development, formation and accomplishments of interagency fire prevention cooperative and compact associations and other formal partnerships. The training course shall effectively provide the necessary instructional content and materials which educates initial fire responders to methods of wildland fire investigation and ignition cause determination. Deliveryof the guide and training course to 3833 S. Development Avenue, Boise, ID is anticipated by April 1999.
