THIS IS A MODIFICATION OF THE SYNOPSIS PUBLISHED 8 Oct 97, 27 Oct 97, AND 12 Dec 97. This synopsis was formerly described as a Large Shelter Systems for the B-2 Aircraft and has been renamed Extra Large Deployable Aircraft Hangar System (XLDAHS). The XLDAHS includes the shelter structure, an environmental control system (ECS), infiltration/exfiltration control measures, heating/cooling load reduction measures, spares/repair kit, shipping/storage containers, electrical distribution equipment, and contents of the shelter structure, i.e., lighting, electrical wiring, receptacles, switches, and HVAC controls. The Draft Request For Proposal (DRFP) will be tentatively released electronically on the Eglin AFB Web-site on or about 16 Jun 98. The web-site address is http://eglinpk.eglin.af.mil/OPS RFP.HTM. This notice is for planning purposes only, and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an obligation on the part of the Government to make any follow-on acquisitions. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of responses received to this notice or otherwise pay for the information solicited. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect cost or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this DRFP and the Government's use of such information. The Government invites questions, comments from industry which may improve the solicitation, refine program requirements, and enhance the success of the acquisition as outlined in the above referenced web-site. An Ombudsman has been established for this acquisition. The only purpose of the Ombudsman is to receive and communicate serious concerns from potential offerors, when an offeror prefers not to use established channels to communicate his/her concern during the proposal development phase of this acquisition.
