Dreger, Contracting Officer, (850)234-4863 The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Dahlgren Division, Coastal Systems Station, Panama City, Florida intends to issue a solicitation for competitive proposals for an Indefinite Quantity non-personal technical support services contract for contractor services to analyze diver's compressed breathing air for U.S. Navy ships and military shore units worldwide. Typically, over two thousand high pressure and several hundred low pressure samples are tested each year meeting the sampling needs of approximately three hundred eighty-five diving activities. The contractor shall provide (a) transportable equipment for collecting gas samples from high pressure and low pressure sources and (b) services for analyzing samples collected from these sources. The contractor shall be responsible for shipment of these kits to various military commands worldwide. The contracting laboratory performing the analysis shall be accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), or the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NAVLAP). Proof of the accreditation or application of the accreditation shall be provided with the proposal. Technical and cost proposals will be requested.
