A -- NAS5-50000 (CHAMP) REVISED FOLLOW-ON SCHEDULE The purpose of this notice is to release the current planned schedule for competition and award of a follow-on contract to NAS5-50000, the Consolidated Hubble Assorted Mission Products (CHAMP) contract. This is a revision to the schedule previously posted to the CBDNet on February 9, 1998. The CHAMP contract supports NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in the science operations and on-orbit servicing of the Hubble Space Telescope (HST). The current contract value is approximately $335 million. The current planned schedule is for a Sources Sought synopsis to be issued July 1, 1999, followed by a Synopsis for a Draft Request for Proposal (RFP) to be released October 5, 1999, and a draft RFP to be released on October 19, 1999. The formal RFP is planned to be released on January 21, 2000, followed by proposal receipt on March 7, 2000. Contract award is expected by August 28, 2000, with the effective date of full performance of the follow-on contract commencing December 1, 2000.
