Z -- M/R/A HANGAR 3 SOL F19617-98-BA005 DUE 081298 POC Michael I LaFortune, Contracting Officer or Donald P Hebert, Contract Specialist at 413/557-2603 Solicitation F19617-98-BA005, Project YTPM 94-0072 consists of the following: Existing 2-story office wing of an aircraft hangar totaling 12,800 s.f. will be renovated and an additional 10,000 s.f. will be provided through the erection and finishing of a 2-story pre-engineered mezzanine structure within the hangar. Renovation work includes the replacement of all electrical, mechanical, plumbing, communication and fire systems and interior non-structural partitions. Interior concrete floor slabs will require cutting and patching for new plumbing locations. HVAC work will include replacement of all distribution, terminal devices and central plants. All interior finishes will be replaced with new carpeting, vinyl and ceramic tile and vinyl wall coverings. Project includes the removal of asbestos pipe insulation and floor tiles. Materials to be demolished and construction to remain contain lead paint. New mezzanine structure will be finished as administration, classroom and storage space. Additionally, two (2) restrooms located within another office wing will be renovated and four (4) new entry vestibule additions totaling 380 s.f. will be provided. Bid issue will be 8 July 98. Bid opening will be 12 August 98. Performance period will be two hundred seventy (270) calendar days. Estimated cost of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This procurement is being solicited in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Replies to this notice are requested from all business concerns. The small business size standard applicable to this project is a concern, including its affiliates, with average annual receipts from its preceeding three years not exceeding $17,000,000.00.
