Sealed offers are due on or before Tuesday, July 28, 1998 no later than 4:00 p.m. EST. The estimated cost of construction is between $100,000.00 and $200,000.00 with construction completion 150 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC OPENING OF THE PROPOSALS AND THE RESULTS OF THE ADVERTISEMENT WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED UNTIL AWARD OF THE PROJECT. There will be a preproposal conference held on site (Room B27A) on Tuesday, July 14, 1998 beginning at 10:00 a.m. to discuss the specifics of this project. Prospective contractors are encouraged to attend this meeting. Work includes, but is not limited to, providing all materials, labor and equipment required to develop a software program to replace all existing outdated sorting program for the sack sorters and provide new hardware system with all peripherals which meet current programming and hardware standards. All software and hardware MUST be Year 2000 compliant and certified as such. System will be provided in turn key mode and adequate training by contractor on software/hardware maintenance is required. System software will become the property of the USPS.
