54 -- PREFABRICATED RESTROOM SOL 1443RQ8000-98-013 POC Linda Wong (415) 427-1443 The National Park Service (NPS) intends to negotiate and award a purchase order with only one source, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, with Romtec, Inc. 18240 North Bank Road, Roseburg, Oregon. The proposed procurement is for a prefabricated Sierra Plumbed Restroom Building & Fixtures -- Type IV, to be installed by in-house crew at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Hawaii Volcanoes, Hawaii. The prefabricated restroom consists of a women's section containing four toilets and one sink and the men's section containing two toilets, two urinals, and one sink. A pipe chase/janitors closet is located between the two sections. The package includes (1) construction plans and drawings to assemble a concrete block restroom approximately 26' x 28' to withstand 120 MPH wind load and seismic zone 4 rating (2) pre-assembled steel roof to include: galvanized steel rafters and 26 gauge anodized steel roofing with matching facia and ridge cap; roof meets or exceeds a 100 pound per square foot rating; non-porous fiberglass reinforced panel ceiling attached with non-corrosive hardware; includes four 2' x 4' skylights; color of roofing material to be specified by NPS (3) three pre-hung exterior primed steel doors 3'0" x 6'8" with ADA approved door handles to fit a masonry wall (4) eight 16"x24" galvanized steel wall vents (5) HDPE toilet stall partitions and doors with non-corrosive hardware (6) two mounted Kohler or equal urinals and six wall mounted toilets with all Sloan or equal flushometers and hardware; two of the six wall mounted toilets (one located in each men and women sections) must be ADA approved (7) two wall mounted Kohler or equal ADA approved lavatories with all faucets and hardware (8) heavy duty utility sink, faucet and all hardware located in janitors closet (9) 1-1/2" stainless steel grab bars to meet ADA standards for handicap toilet stalls (10) concrete blocks, concrete foundation and pad need not be included in prefabricated restroom package. NPS believes there is only one responsible sourceand have found no other manufacturer will satisfy the agency's requirements listed above. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. Firms believing they can provide the required items are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer. They must, however, provide supporting evidence they can furnish the requested items at a cost that will not exceed the total intended transaction cost and submit a quote for consideration no later than 15 days from the published date of this synopsis announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
