The Space Sciences Division of the Naval Research Laboratory has a requirement for research, development and engineering efforts directed toward the design, development, fabrication, testing and delivery of Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) for a silicon matrix detector system. This requirement is associated with the Advanced Thin Ionization Calorimeter (ATIC) experiment which is focused on investigating the energy spectra of Galactic Cosmic Rays in the ultra-high-energy regime.
