65 -- OPTIFILL-II DISPOSABLE SUPPLIES SOL RFQ 618-134-98-LK DUE 070298 POC Linda Kelly 612-725-2183 Under statutory authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, (VAMC) Minneapolis, MN, is entering into a sole source negotiation with Baxter Healthcare for consumable supplies in support of VA owned Baxter Optifill-II equipment located in VAMC Pharmacy Service. The above statutory authority for sole source is cited and justification is made based on the requirements for continuity and compatibility of disposable supplies to equipment and the determination that the government's minimum needs can best be met by one source. A one year contract agreement is anticipated. All responsible sources may submit a proposal. Respond by July 9, 1998. See Note 22. (0168)
