95 -- METAL BOX CULVERT SOL RFQ RMAST-98-137 Part I of II DUE 063098 POC Contact Point. Contracting Officer, Joel Butzin,(970) 874-6613 The purpose of this advertisement is to solicit offers for supplying an aluminum structural plate box culvert conforming to AASHTO M219 and ASTM B864. The culvert must pass hydraulic flows of 1300 cfs at a slope of 4.8% with an approximate span of 25'-4", rise 8'-7", length 18', gage of 0.15". It should be able to handle a minimum of 2' cover and a maximum of 4.3' cover for a HS-20 loading. To be included with the box culvert are footing pads, two headwalls, 4 wingwalls, one 4' wing panel, geotextile, headwall elbow cap, wingwall caps, all installation hardware and a detailed installation guide. The aluminum multiplate box culvert shall be Structure No. 85C manufactured by Contech or approved equal. If proposing an equal product, the offeror should submit shop drawings for examination prior to award. The price should be FOB Gunnison CO. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are herein being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is a Request for Quotes RMAST-98-137 and this document and incorporated provisions and clause are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-04. The Standard Industrial Code for this work is 3443 and the small business size standard is no more than 500 employees.
