for the repair of the stabilizer amplifier applicable to the MC-130E
Combat Talon I aircraft was done on 02 Feb 98. This synopsis is amended
to change quantity for CLINs 0001, 1001, 2001, 3001,and 4001 from 8
each to 6 each and to add a data line item. Ombudsmen Note is added and
Note 22 is deleted. The Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification:
Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a
limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies
or services will satisfy agency requirements is deleted. The following
notes apply: The specifications cited in this solicitation are not
available for distribution. However, they may be examined at the
following location: WR-ALC/LUM, 226 Cochran St, Robins AFB, Ga 31098-
1622, 912-926-2698, Contact: Michael Godfrey, Engineer for questions
and/or Harold Daniel, Equipment Specialist for viewing (By appointment
between the hours of 0700 am to 1500 hours PM). The documents will be
available for offeror's review until the date that proposals are due
to be submitted. The documents will be furnished to the successful
contractor upon award of the contract. The Government has not provided
drawings, technical orders, military specifications, military
standards or federal specifications listed in section IV of the work
specification as part of the solicitation. Offerors who wish to review
these documents at Robins AFB, GA should contact Equipment
specialists, Harold Daniel/LUMT/912-926- 2698 or Tom
Linginfelter/LUMT/912-926-2858. This acquisition is open to all
interested parties who submit a bid or proposal and compete for this
requirment. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO
identified above for additional information and/or to communicate
concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not
satisfied by the contacting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to
hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established
channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority
of the program director or contracting officer, but communicate serious
contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the
appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will
maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The
Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals in the
