There are approximately 3,875 pine sawtimber trees containing an estimated 782,284 board feet International Scale or 545,178 board feet Doyle Scale and an estimated 3,427 pine pulpwood trees containing an estimated 134 cords. The sale also include approximately 181 hardwood sawtimber trees containing an estimated 24,419 board feet International Scale or 16,988 board feet Doyle Scale and 2,561 hardwood pulpwood trees containing an estimated 160 cords. Units total approximately 150 acres. Log scales based on Form Class 80. Cutting to begin no later than 180 days after award with 365 days to complete removal after contract is awarded. Timber harvesting will not be allowed during the 15-day annual gun deer hunting for Barksdale AFB. Anticipated issue date is 15 July 1998; anticipated opening date is 14 August 1998.
