The Office on Women's Health (OWH) through the Program Support Center, General Acquisitions Branch, intends to award a 4 month sole source Simplified Acquisition to Shirley M. Dabney, M.A. The contractor will be responsible for assisting in the development, research and writing educational materials for the Public Health Service's Office on Women's Health, to include: 1) National Women's Health Information Center; 2) Development of Women's Health Resource Library for use by staff and other HHS Offices; 3) National Minority Women's Health Initiative and Expert Panel on Minority Women's Health; 4) National Osteoporosis Education Campaign; 5) Minority Media Outreach Project; 6) Eating Disorders Educational Campaign; 7) National Centers of Excellence in Women's Health; 8) National Mentoring Project for Biomedical Careers, and 8) the National Centers of Leadership in Academic Medicine. The professional services include assisting the Office of Women's Health in the creation of educational brochures, background materials, fact sheets, articles and other communications products, as well as assisting the Office on Women's Health respond to queries from the public and the media. Ms. Dabney is uniquely qualified with extensive and broad sweeping professional experience, with public outreach for women across the life span to carry out many of the directives and educational initiatives of the Public Health Service, Office on Women's Health. She has a multifaceted background in research, writing, brochure development and design, newsletter development, media and public relations. Anticipated award date is June 24, 1998.
