To furnish hand and power tools for the Direct Support Stock Control (DSSC) Branch, Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, California. Contractor shall be required to assure continuous on-the-shelf supply of fast moving tools on a consignment basis, and make available other tools within time frames to be established. Pricing of all tools shall be based on current, approved manufacturer's price lists, and shall consist of a discount (or surcharge) to the listed price for each item. Contract shall be established with the ability to add or delete requirements based on current Government usage. The Governmentwill only pay for tools actually ordered and accepted. A formal solicitation for these supplies may be issued without further synopsizing only in the event two or more responsible commercial firms respond affirmatively to this notice. If a solicitation is issued, it will cover a base and two one year options. Responses should consist of published brochures, or any other comprehensive written material which will facilitate an analysis of contractor product and capability. This is not a request for pricing and prices should not be submitted with the information requested. Information shall be submitted to the Contracting Office noted above not later than 10 July 1998.
