Kits must be able to detect the antibody to Hepatitis A virus (including IgM specific); Hepatitis B Antibody (Antibody to Hepatitis B Antigen); Second Generation Anti-HCV test; Anti-HCV confirmation tests for antibody to Hepatitis C virus; and Kits used on the IMx. Must be compatible with existing Government automated equipment manufactured by Abbott Laboratories. A requirements contract is contemplated with shipments to domestic locations in Atlanta, GA and Anchorage, AK, with foreign shipments to the Peoples Republic of China. The contract period shall be for one base year with four additional one-year options. Solicitation will be issued approximately July 15, 1998, to Abbott Laboratories, North Chicago, IL, on a sole source basis. Abbott Laboratories is the only known source capable of furnishing kits of all hepatitis types.
