The U.S. Army Engineer District, New Orleans, LA, has a requirement for Water Sample Collection; Chemical Analyses of Water, Sediment, and Elutriate; and Environmental Services. The contract area is located within the boundaries of the New Orleans District. This area encompasses the lower portion of Louisiana south of the city of Alexandria. The Corps intends to award an indefinite delivery requirements contract as a result of this solicitation. The award will be determined by the selection of an offeror whose proposal reflects the best combination of features, whether or not the offeror's price is the lowest, i.e., best value. The term of the contract will be one (1) year with options for four (4) more years. The successful contractor will furnish all plant, labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the collection of water and sediment samples for chemical analyses, bioassay and bioaccumulation studies; conduction of suspended particulate and solid phase bioassay and bioaccumulation studies, including all necessary statistical analyses; water column toxicity tests; column settling tests; chemical analyses of water, sediment, elutriate, and tissue samples, as well as grain-size analyses of sediment samples; transportation of required samples to the New Orleans District's Water Quality laboratory; performance of special studies; transmission of analytical data in the form of spreadsheet and hard copy; and the preparation and production of appropriate technical reports.
