MOUNTAIN NATIONAL FOREST, NEW HAMPSHIRE AND WESTERN MAINE SOL

National Forest intends to procure professional services for Bridge
Inspection and other related Engineering Services. The work is located
in New Hampshire and Western Maine. It is anticipated that an
Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract will be issued, with
a base year and 3 option years. Over the life of the contract the
Government guarantees to purchase a minimum dollar amount of services
of $20,000.00, the total amount not to exceed $250,000.00. In
evaluating proposals, the following criteria will be applied, with 1-3
being of relatively equal importance, and approximately twice the
importance of criteria 6, but only half the importance of criteria 4
and 5. (1) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory
performance of required services. (Submit individual qualifications and
amount of time planned for performance of this project.) (2)
Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work
required. (Submit relevant experience for key personnel assigned to
this project. (3) Capacity of the firm to provide the required services
in the required time. (Indicate resources available for this project
and other projects currently under way that would compete for those
resources.) (4) Past performance on contracts with government agencies
and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work and
compliance with performance schedules. (Submit listing of similar
projects undertaken along with reference to call.) (5) Proximity of the
firm to local project area. (Indicate where your nearest office is in
relation to the project area, White Mountain National Forest. If not
within 50 mile radius of the Forest, indicate how you plan to provide
service in a cost-effective manner.) (6) Volume of work previously
awarded by Forest Service, with objective of effecting an equitable
distribution of the work among qualified firms, including minority and
disadvantaged firms. (Indicate number of Contracts, purchase orders,
and or delivery orders your firm has received in last 5 fiscal years.
Also include if your firm is minority or women owned.) There is no
solicitation package to request -- interested parties are to submit
Forms No. 254 and 255 and any additional sheets by July 15, 1998 to the
