S -- CONCESSIONAIRE SERVICES SOL TOPOFT-HEBA-YAPG POC Contract Specialist Kevin Clark 410-278-0890 (Site Code DAAD05) The U.S. AMC Acquisition Center is issuing this announcement in an effort to determine if there is an interest from a private firm to operate the Top of the Bay facility at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland under a concessionaire contract. The Government will provide the facility that has a full-service kitchen, several admin offices and cooking equipment. Contractor services are requested to run the concessionaire facility to provide the following services to the APG Community: 1) Luncheons 2) Training/Conferences/Seminars 3) Banquets for balls, retirement dinners, award ceremonies, etc. 4) Cocktail-type receptions for change-of-command, etc. 5) Wedding Receptions (average 78 per year, with an average attendance of 150 people per reception) 6) Meetings requiring light catering and set-up 7) Daily lunch services (average daily lunch attendance is 120 people) Facility Operation Requirements from the contractor are as follows: 1) Pay Utility Expenses (average utility expense is $6,500 per/month) 2) Provide Janitorial Services (average expense $9,000 to $16,000 per/year) 3) Provide equipment maintenance and cover equipment repair expenses (average expense is from $3,500 to $9,000 per/year) The Top of the Bay facility has six rooms which are used for events. 1) The Gunpowder Lounge -- 50 people capacity 2) The Old Baltimore Room -- 50 people capacity 3) The Regimental Room -- 50 people capacity 4) The Chesapeake Mezzanine 150 people capacity 5) The Down Under Lounge -- 200 people capacity 6) The Main Ballroom -- 350 people capacity Interested sources are required to respond by 6 July 1998.
