This is a presolicitation notice to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to accomplish work for "Upgrade Electrical Distribution System" at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Nashville, TN 37212. Work encompasses the primary and secondary electrical distribution system, including transformers, switchgear, panelboards, motor control centers, conductors, conduit, etc. Ancillary work impacts some architectural, structural, mechanical and plumbing. Cost range is between $2,000,000 and 5,000,000. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 1731. All work is to be completed within 690 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. Plans and specifications will be available o/a July 28, 1998. Bid opening will be on August 27, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. Date and time for site inspection and pre-bid conference will be announced in a later synopsis.
