Solicitation documents will be available for downloading from the Internet on or about July 2, 1998. Proposal due date on or about August 4, 1998. A pre-proposal conference will be held on or about July 15, 1998. The exact time and place of the conference will be provided in the solicitation documents. Work includes, but is not limited to replacement of roof drain downspouts, selective demolition of partitions, interior finishes (flooring, wall covering, plaster surfaces, and suspended acoustical ceilings). Reworking of HVAC systems (ductwork and miscellaneous items), selective demolition related to HVAC work requires the replacement of floor, wall and ceiling materials and finishes. Mechanical work shall include demolition and removal of existing mechanical equipment (boilers, flues, ancillary steam equipment, pumps, domestic hot water system, air handling units, piping, ductwork, controls, and miscellaneous items. Furnish and install new boilers, pumps, piping, air handling units, building automation and control systems, storm drainage sump pumps, domestic hot water system, roof drain downspouts, ductwork, terminal HVAC units, ventilation and heater units. Furnish and install components of the electrical service and distribution systems, conduit, wiring, accessories, lightning protection system and all other items mentioned in the specifications and drawings. The work will be required to be phased to provide consistent HVAC with minimum utilities and services shutdown time, and to minimize/eliminate impact on building occupants. Temporary heating and cooling will be required when areas where the entire air handling unit and ductwork systems are being replaced. All responsible sources will be considered.
