The purpose of this amendment is to inform potential offerors of the anticipated release date of the subject Request for Proposal (DAAE30-98-R-0409) as on or about 25 Jun 98, and will be made available for downloading at the following website: http://procnet.pica.army.mil/. The RFP is for the procurement of fifty (50) zero to six hundred (0-600) meter iron sights for the M4 Carbine and the M16A4 Rifle. The maximum anticipated option quantity is 96,364. This amendment does not extend the pre-solicitation response time beyond the original date of 25 Jun 98. The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC intends to issue this RFP via electronic means (internet) only; however, under special circumstances only will consideration will be given to requests for hardcopy versions of the RFP.
