option. Applicable to CH-47 Turbine Engine (T-55) FOB Origin to
Texarkaka, TX. Required delivery is 57 each 350 days after contract
award and 57 each month thereafter until shipped complete. It is
anticipated that the award will be made via a delivery order to an
existing Basic Ordering Agreement. A request for quotation will be
issued to Allied Signal, Phoenix, AZ. This procurement requires
prequalification. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which
shall be considered by the agency. Justification for other than full
and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Source or Only a Limited
Number of Responsible Sources. This proposed contract action is for
supplies for which the Government does not have specifications and
drawings to permit full and open competition. Only approved sources who
have successfully completed the required engineering test will be
considered for award of this flight safety part. The time requiredfor
appppproval of new supplies is such that award and delivery cannot be
delayed pending approval of a new source. Firms are encouraged to seek
source approval in order to compete for future solicitations.
