Specifications A. Basic Laboratory: 1. One piece vinyl floor with
integral cove base, insulated walls (R-19). 2. Instrumental
cabinet-style bench, with at least 16 feet of chemical resistant top
and instrument hold down tract capable of mounting Hewlett Packard 5890
series GC or GC/MS analytical system. 3. Wet chemistry bench, with at
least 8 feet of stainless steel bench top including a faucet and demand
operated (12 VDC) stainless steel sink. 4. Workstation/datastation
desk, at least 4.5 feet with computer and celluar telephone jack
leading to an external antenna, and side storage drawers. 5. Two
overhead storage cabinets, at least 4 feet wide each. 6. Over-cab
storage compartments. 7. Positive locking latches on all drawers and
cabinets. 8. Clinical resistant cabinets and drawers under benches. 9.
Water supply and wastewater tanks (25 gallon each minimum), mounted
internally for cold weather protection, with external fill fittings.
10. Stabilizing jacks (12 VDC), both front and rear. 11. Three (3) roof
mounted air conditioning/heater units (minimun of 13,500/ 5600 BTU
each). 12. Reversible roof mounted variable speed vent fan (12 VDC).
13. Two (2) exit/entry doors, one on the side and one at the rear of
the laboratory. B. Electrical System: 1. One diesel fuel on-board
generator (7KW minimum), with engine block heater, local and remote
contral from the generator compartment and internal laboratory panel.
Fuel is to be supplied from vehicle tank. 2. Two (2) 100 amp waterproof
commercial (shore)power receptacles, compatible with Hubble 4100P12W
mail plug (or equivalent 3. Two (2) 25 foot heavy duty commercial power
cables, each with equipped with two (2) 100 amp Hubble 4100P12W (or
equivalent) male plugs. 4. Control panel for monitoring an controlling
both AC and CD circuts. Provision to select power from internal or
external sources. 5. One (1) 12 VDC power point at the instrumental
bench capable of powering an inverter from the battery bank.6. 120 VAC
wiring system throughout the laboratory interior using armor BX, with
at least three (3) 20 amp receptacles at the insturmental bench and
five (5) 15 amp receptacles at various locations (data station desk,
wet chemistry bench, etc.) throughtout the laboratory. 7. Two (2)
interior circuit breaker boxes, effectively splitting the laboratory
load. 8. All cover plates (receptacles)and circuit breakers are to be
labeled. 9. Five (5) 120 VAC interior lighting 4 ft. 2-tube fluorescent
fixtures, with 3-way switches located beside each of the two exit/entry
doors. 10. Internal & external 12 VDC lighting composes of a 12 inch
2-tube fluorescent light fixture located above each exit/entry door,
and at least five (5) exterior flush mounted quartz flood lights (one
at the rear of the vehicle and two on either side). 11. Auxiliary
battery compartment with two (2) 105 amp deep cycle batteries. 12.
Automatic 12 VDC battery charging system (40 amp minimum), dual-mode,
to maintain both the vehicle and auxiliary batteries. C. Laboratory
Support Equipment: 1. Solvent storage cabinet, sealed with fusible link
closure, 4 gallon capacity. 2. Fume hood, minimum 30 inches wide, with
blower and external venting. 3. Two (2) 12 VDC/120 VAC refrigerators,
approximately 2 cu.ft. each. 4. Gas cylinder storage compartment open
to the vehicle exterior, five (5) cylinder capacity, with direct
access to four (4) 1/4" chemically cleaned stainless steel gas lines (3
capped outlets per line) to instrumental bench. 5. Faucet mounted eye
wash and ahdn-held emergency shower, first-aid kit, Two (2) mounted ABC
fire extinguishers. 6. Two (2) vents for GC cooling (4" diameter for HP
5890) located above the instumental bench. 7. Hydrogen generator, o-250
cc/min. 8. Fresh air intake system, with at least two (2) external
intakes. D. Vehicle Cut-away Chassis: 1. Bright white paint. 2. 26,000
lb. GVWR 3. Full width bench seat. 4. Diesel engine, with two (2)
oversize fuel tanks (50 gallons eadh minimum) and switching values so
that the vehicle engine and on-board generator may be operated off of
either tank. 5. 4-speed automatic transmission. 6. Air-conditioning,
100 amp alternator, power steering, power hydraulic brakes and engine
block heater. 7. AM/FM Cassette stereo. 8. Heavy-duty service package
including engine and transmission oil coolers. 9. Alarm system (with
pager) for vehicle and laboratory. 10. OEM cruise control. 11. Vheicle
back-up alarm. 12. External underbody storage compartment. 13. Outside
work table. D. Body: 1. Heavy duty rear step bumper with Class III
hitch box. 2. Side and rear entry doors with windows. 3. Three (3)
opening windows in laboratory area, with at least one on either side of
vehicle (30" x 22" minimum), double pane tinted with screens. 4. Side
fold up stairs. 5. Bright white paint with 2-color EPA logo and "Region
III Office of Analytical Services and Quality Assurance" on three sides
of Van box. 6. Pull down steps to the gas cylinder storage compartment.
