(NIST) has a need for a quantity of one hundred sixty (160) Copper (Cu
311) Single Crystal Wafers. The crystals will be affixed to a frame
and aligned in reflection geometry to select (and reflect) a single
wavelength of neutrons from the incident full reactor spectrum.*****The
Contractor shall supply Cu 311 Single Crystal Wafers that shall meet
the following specifications: (1) Dimensions shall be: Diameter=38.0 mm
(+/- 1.0 mm), and Thickness=10.0 mm (+/- 1.0mm);** (2) Wafer faces
shall be flat and parallel to +/- 0.25 mm as cut;** (3) Wafer faces
shall be oriented to (311) within +/- 1.0 degrees;** (4) Each wafer
shall be marked (or in a marked container) specifying which boule it
was cut from, and each wafer shall have two small reference flats so
crystals can be re-aligned with respect to each other for simultaneous
reflection purposes;** (5) Copper purity shall be of at least 4N
(99.99%);** (6) The Crystal Mosaic Spread (FWHM) of crystals as grown

Contractor shall replace returned crystals at Contractor's
expense.*****The Government anticipates award of a purchase order
