This is an amendment to two announcements originally advertised on June 11, 1998. Originally these were advertised as solicitation number RFI98WRSS1004 and RFI98WRSS1005, this was incorrect as there are no solicitations available. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is requesting information from commercial sources regarding the industry capability for Internet Service Provider and Dedicated Remote Access Service. The announcements also referenced two attachments. Attachment 1 is the only attachment, Attachment 2 is no longer valid, so it has been eliminated. An industry meeting is scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 1998, at the USGS offices, Building 7, Room 7246, in Menlo Park, CA. The meeting is being held to allow the industry to discuss the services needed by the USGS and to find alternate solutions to accomplish both services. All interested parties must call Judy Cearley at (650 329-4035 regarding their interest in attending this meeting. To verify your participation, please provide your name, telephone number, fax number, indicate if you need a map to the USGS and also if you will be partidipating in person or via audio conference.
