for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR
Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in
this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.
Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be
issued. Solicitation Number F41650-98-T2237 is issued as a Request For
Quotation and incorporates provision and clauses in effect through
Federal Acquisition Circular 97-04. SIC CODE: 8741 DO Rating: S10.
Offerors are requested to submit with their offerors in support of
their price, catalogs or price list, and any reocurring or
non-recurring direct cost that will significantly affect their price.

Orders-Commercial Items. STATEMENT OF WORK FOR TEMPORARY SERVICES:
Clerical support temporary employee to perform the following duties:
Produce a variety of documents such as correspondence, memos, forms
reports, tables, graphs, etc. using Personal Computers and up-to-date
software such as Microsoft Word (version 7.0), Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
Tpes letters, memos and forms, files documentation according to
established file plans. Receive and distributes telephone messages from
automated phone answering system and direct phones contact and mail to
staff to 10 people. Greets customers and responds to basic customer
requests for information or refers customer to knowledgable staff
member. Employee must posses basic computer literacy, have knowledge of
proper punctuation, grammar, spelling, formats, etc. of basic
correspondence. The employee will work for a period of approxi- mately
120 government work days. Employee must be able to stand (up to three
hours); do moderate lifting (up to 15 pounds); follow instructions
with little guidance; produce work products in a timely and
professional manner; and be pleasant, tactful, patient and under-
standing with customers. Employee must be able to provide their own
transportation, without government reimbursement, between one of two
possible work locations. The work locations are approximately five
miles apart (one on main base Kelly AFB and on on East Kelly). Attire
required is basic professional work attire such as a dress or
skirt/dress slacks and blouse, hosiery typical for women and slacks and
shirt with or without tie for men, as would be acceptable in the
business environment of a real es tate office off-base. Jeans, shorts,
T-shirts, sandals, sneakers, etc. are not permitted. Period of
Performance: 120 work days per person from start date. Services will
not be required on federal holidays or weekends within this performance
period. Work hours are 0730 to 1615, Monday through Friday, with a 45
minute lunch break, except as noted above. Proposals should be mailed

offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified in this notice for
additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any,
concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the
contracting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns
from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development
phase of an acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority
of the program director or Contracting Officer, but communicates
Contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the
appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall
maintain strict confidentially as to the source of the concern. The
Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the
