The Terminal Data Monitoring is in support of the Department of Energy, Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) Program. The effort will involve the use of subcontractor-furnished labor, material, equipment, tools, and supervision to provide, install and test the work associated with Terminal Data Monitoring through the Distributed Control System (DCS) at the SPR Big Hill Site. The requirement consist of three terminal locations: (1) the Sun Marine Terminal at Nederland, Texas; (2) the Unocal Terminal at Nederland, Texas, and; (3) the Texaco Pipe Line, Inc. pipeline tie-in near Nederland, Texas. The Contractor shall plan and coordinate the sequencing of all work with the third party terminals, any telecommunications providers, the Government, and telecommunications network capability with required capacity to connect the four sites. The Contractor shall also be responsible for installation costs and initial lease costs until the Government accepts the Terminal Data Monitoring System. The subject solicitationis unrestricted. The magnitude of this requirement is anticipated to be between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The solicitation is anticipated to be issued on/about 4th week of June, 1997 with an anticipated award of September 30th. Potential offerors must provide written confirmation of their interest in this task.
