Rodabaugh 206 526 6379, for copy of solicitation call 206 526 6425 The Government seeks a contractor to provide 20' gaseous helium ISO containers and 20' ISO chassis trailers. The container will store gaseous helium to be used as inflation gas for weather balloon operations at remote locations in Alaska. The 20' ISO chassis trailer will be used to transport the 20' ISO container at the destination location. The contract will be an indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) type contract for three years. The minimum purchase of containers and chassis will be 2(two) and the maximum purchase will be 15 (fifteen) over the three years. Each 20' container shall be capable of storing approximately 64,00 standard cubic feet (SCF) of gaseous helium and each 20' chassis trailer shall be capable of securely supporting one 20' container. Each trailer shall be capable of being connected to and transported by an industry standard tractor rated for a minimum 25,000 payload. The container/chassis trailer assembly will be used outside in temperatures from -60 degrees Fahrenheit to eighty degrees Fahrenheit. The containers will be transported annually by barge for refill and will be regularly subjected to a marine environment. All responsible offerors will be considered. (0173)
