The Air Force Medical Support Agency (AFMSA), Brooks AFB, TX has a requirement for Hospital Aseptic Management System (HAMS) services at Langley AFB VA and Shaw AFB SC. These requirements involve providing a total aseptic management system for general and critical care areas for both facilities which incorporates the latest technology concepts concerning housekeeping's role in the control of hospital acquired infection. The system must include comprehensive procedures and training manuals and an effective quality control program for the work to be performed. The offeror, as a firm, must have managed and performed a complete HAMS program for at least 24 months during the three years immediately preceding the date established in the Request for Quotes (RFQ) at a full service medical treatment facility. This experience must have been gained as a result of the company being regularly engaged in the business of providing management and performance of aseptic services in all areas of the hospital complex; such as surgery (including pre-schedule, post-case and end of the day cleaning), labor and delivery (including pre-schedule, post-case and end of day cleaning), newborn nursery and recovery areas located in "cap, gown and mask" critical care areas. The executive housekeeper must meet specific experience education requirements prior to contract start. Period of performance is 01 Oct 98 through 30 Sep 99, with four one-year priced options.
