Solicitation Notice -- Contractor shall provide all plant, labor, equipment, materials and transportation to Construct AirField Drainage, Buckley Air National Guard Base, Colorado, Project Number CRWU942020. The Project shall consist of construction of underground drainage improvements for the main runway and associated taxiways and aprons. Work shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, piping, manholes, trenching, backfilling, miscellaneous earthwork, seeding and other miscellaneous items delineated in the contract documents. There will be a lump sum base bid. The estimated bid opening date is 1 September 1998. The estimated construction period is 180 calendar days with estimated construction completion of 15 April 1999. Estimated cost of construction is between $200,000 and $500,000. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price contract will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. Solicitations will be available approximaely 15 July 1998. The solicitaion package will be limited to one set per bidder, and will be issued on a first come, first served basis. Requests for bid documents shall be in writing and accompanied by a non-refundable check for $30.00 for a specification copy with full-size or half-size plans. Make check payable to U.S. Department of Treasury. Telephone requests will not be accepted. The potential bidder shall provide a street address and not a post office box. Copies of the solicitation will be distributed to various Plans Rooms throughout Colorado. This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED; however, woman-owned, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB's) are encouraged to apply, SDB concerns must provide evidence of being a socially and economically disadvantaged business concern. All replies must indicate the firm's size status, such as large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, or 8(a). An evaluation preference for SDB concerns may be applied.
