Estimated cost of construction is between $500,000.00 and $1,00,000.00. Completion no later than 100 calendar days. Work consists of maintenance dredging of a federal navigation channel using a hydraulic pipeline dredge. Approximately 83,000 cubic yards of dredged material to a depth of 7 feet plus 2 feet of overdepth will be removed and placed behind offshore segmented breakwater constructed by geotubes. After placement of material a wetland will be planted. The geotubes will be placed by the contractor. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. Large business firms are required to submit a subcontracting plan. The subcontracting goals are 65% for small business, 15% for small disadvantaged business and 8% of women owned small business. The subcontracting plan does not have to be submitted at bid opening. In order to comply with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for award of a Federal contract.
