Z -- COPIER SERVICES ON A COST-PER-COPY BASIS SOL MDA908-98-R-0039 DUE 070398 POC Ms. Cheong Chon, (202) 231-8416 The Virginia Contracting Activity (VACA) of Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) has a requirement to procure copier services on a cost-per-copy basis to include all equipment, maintenance and supplies (except paper or transparencies). Locations for copiers, supplies and maintenance will be in the Washington DC area. The following Black & White (B&W) copiers must provide automatic feeding, sorting and stapling, automatic duplexing, and variable enlargement and reduction. DIA requires: (1) approx 120 B&W copiers for less than 10,000 copies per copier per month at minimum speed of 40 copies per minute; (2) approx 100 B&W copiers for less than 20,000 copies per copies per month at minimum speed of 50 copies per minute; (3) approx 24 B&W copiers for less than 30,000 copies per copier per month at minimum speed of 60 copies per minute; and (4) approx 12 B&W copiers for more than 30,000 copies per copier per month at minimum speed of 80 copies per minute. The following Color copiers mustprovide 400 dpi resolution and 256 gradations per process color, yellow, magenta, cyan and black. Automatic feeders and sorter-staplers will be required at approximately one-half of the sites. Optional network interfaces may be required for MS windows NT or MacIntosh or UNIX/Solaris/Silicon Graphics: (1) approx 12 networkable color copiers for less than 5,000 copies per copier per month at minimum speed of 6 copies per minute. Optional network interface provides 32/64 MB of RAM, and operates at 100/160 MHz.; and (2) approx 12 networkable color copiers for more than 5,000 copies per copier per month at minimum speed of 7 copies per minute. Optional network interface provides 128/256 MB of RAM, and operates at 180/200 MHz. Copies must meet specified minimum quality standards. Copiers must provide the capabilities and features described in the solicitation. Copiers may not exceed stated dimensions, heat & noise parameters. DIA requires a four-hour service response. Suppliers will not charge for delivery, installation, relocation or removal. Performance Period: Three base year with two 1-year options.
