Reclamation has a requirement to replace existing metal stairways and
drain covers with fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) stairways and
drain covers. Principal features of the work include the following: a.
removing the following items: (1) approximately 490 feet of steel
inclined stairways; and (2) approximately 250 feet of steel drain
covers. b. Furnishing and installing the following items: (1)
approximately 490 feet of FRP inclined stairways; and (2) aproximately
250 feet of FRP drain covers. The estimated cost range of this project
is $250,001 to $500,000. The location of this project is at Hoover Dam,
on the Colorado River, approximately 7 miles northeast of Boulder City,
Nevada, and 32 miles from Las Vegas, Nevada, in Clark County, Nevada
and Mohave County, Arizona. The performance time for completion of this
project is 150 days. The presolicitation notice (SF-1417) for this
project is currently available. For this acquisition the standard
industrial classification code is 1542 and the small business size
standard is $17 million. The estimated issuance date of the
solicitation is July 14, 1998. The estimated date for receipt of bids
is August 18, 1998. Solicitation copies can be viewed without charge at
the Bureau of Reclamation, Management Services Office, Nevada Highway
and Park Street, Annex Building, Room AA-104, Boulder City, Nevada
89005. There is a nonrefundable charge of $20 for the above
solicitation. Only written requests received directly from the
