Z -- M/R/A DINING FACILITY, BLDG. 5100 SOL F19617-98-BA008 DUE 082098 POC Michael I LaFortune, Contracting Officer or Donald P Hebert, Contract Specialist at 413/557-2603 IFB F19617-98-BA008, Project YTPM 93-0083 M/R/A Dining Facility, Bldg. 5100 consists of complete renovation of the existing facility and new additions totaling 4300 s.f. to be constructed for the new dining area, entry and kitchen support. All existing systems withing the facility will be replaced including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire detection and communications. Interior nonstructural partitions will be reconfigured. Project includes the removal of floor mastic and pipe insulation containing asbestos. Materials to be demolished and construction to remain contain lead paint. Exterior brick veneer and interior CMU walls will be cut and patched. Interior concrete floor slabs will require cutting and patching for new plumbing locations. HVAC work includes demolition of interior air handlers, ductwork and associated piping. Installation of new HVAC includes air handlers, chillers, ductwork and associated fixed piping. New fire sprinkler system will be provided. All interior finishes will be replaced with new carpeting, vinyl and ceramic tile and vinyl wall coverings. Interior ceilings will be replaced with suspended ceiling system including lay-in and acoustical tile and gypsum board. Bid issue will be 17 July 1998. Bid opening will be 20 August 1998. Performance period will be two hundred seventy (270) calendar days. Estimated cost of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This procurement is being solicited in accordance with the Small Business Competitivenss Demonstration Program. The small business size standard applicable to this project is a concern, including its affiliates, with average annual receipts from its preceeding three years not exceeding $17,000,000.00. The SIC (Standard Industrial Classification) Code apllicable to this project is 1542.
