Z -- RENOVATION OF DIRKSEN FB, FLOORS 16 AND 27, CHICAGO, IL SOL GS05P98GAC0194 POC Rachel Zahn, Contracting Officer, 312/886-4104 Project consists of the renovation of the 16th and 27th floors of the Dirksen Fed Bldg, Chicago, IL, for the U.S. Court of Appeals. Work includes but is not limited to providing all labor, materials, and supervision for the following: Conference and training rooms split one courtroom into 2 rooms, conference and training rooms, construct one new drywall partition, install new vision glass panels in entry doors, remove existing acoustical ceiling tile, install new drywall ceiling systems with new lighting and switching, and modify existing HVAC and sprinkler systems; Elevator lobbies -- install new wood paneling, framing, trim and base in 2 lobbies; Judge's robing room -- remove existing acoustical ceiling tiles, install new drywall ceiling system with acoustical panels, new ceiling lighting with switching, and modify existing HVAC and sprinkler systems; Systems Department -- demo partition, door and frame, modify suspended ceilings, carpet repairs, lighting, electrical and finishes; Library Reception area -- furnish/install new reception desk counter and bookshelves, and remove and dispose of existing counter and bookshelves. Re-carpeting is NOT included in this RFP. The estimated cost of construction is between $100,000 and $200,000. Time for completion is estimated at 90 calendar days. This procurement is open to both large and small business concerns. The SIC code is 1542, and the small business size standard is $17,000,000.
