synopsis/solicitation for supplies. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. Quotes will be accepted at the above
address until close of business, July 13,1998. Incorporated provisions
and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular
97-4. Provisions: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial;
52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items; 52.212-3, Representations and
Certification-Commercial Items should be completed and returned with
offer; 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, and
52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to implement statutes
or Executive order-commercial items, including addenda to awarded
contract are included as part of this solicitation. Any award will be
for a firm fixed quantity contract. Provide two (2) electronic pay
station machines which shall be AC hard wire powered with the ability
to communicate off site via telephone modem and shall be Year 2000
compatible. The pay stations shall be a modular wall mounted unit with
hard wire to wall. The pay station machines shall include the
following features: Machine shall be constructed of 12 guage steel with
a piano hinge door mechanism and include a stainless steel crossbar
with a three (3) point locking system which is pick and drill
resistant. The pay stations shall be constructed with a lockable steel
vault within the pay station and include a removable lockable bag for
no access to money. The pay station shall be constructed to include
anti crowbar door protection and shall have a back lit lexan protected
LCD or LED screen. The electronic pay station shall allow customer to
select a minimum of 14 different rate options. Accept credit card on
line. Ability to make change and accept all denominations of coins and
paper currency up to and including $20.00. Pay Station machines shall
provide coin return of $1.00 Susan B. Anthony coins. Coin acceptor
shall be self cleaning. Machine shall print custom ticket messages (20
lines minimum) and ticket receipts (20 lines minimum) on green colored
heavy weight thermal paper (Government approved) tickets. Additional
bill stacker and coin bag shall be included with each pay station
machine. Database software (Microsoft Access and Windows 95 compatible)
with a fully programmable variety of rate structures, report generation
capability, and audit report generation capability shall be provided to
the Government with the pay stations. Vendor shall provide training in
the operation of the pay station on-site in John Day, Oregon. One year
on site parts and labor warranty and shipping of pay stations to John
Day, Oregon shall be included in quotation. Government will select the
color of the pay station machines after receiving color samples from
the vendor. The government will offer award to the responsible quoter
whose quote conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to
the Government. The Government may offer award to other than the
lowestquoter, waive minor informalities or irregularities, or elect to
not award at all. Contract award will incorporate applicable clauses
